Fun Fact: I met David Garrison on a Southwest flight we were both traveling to Denver for the debates. I'm a disenfranchised republican and David a liberal intrigued me with his sense of ethics. He had just filed a worker rights lawsuit against Wal Mart and I wanted him to help me with NISSAN. I think he would have BUT I learned he did have a "conflict of interest".... Maybe he will help me NOW since the Al Gore issue is NO LONGER a conflict? The State of Tennessee lost out on a good leader when they did not elect David Garrison. Here's a picture of our flight attendant too.
NASHVILLE — Former state Sen. Roy Herron became the Tennessee Democratic Party's new chairman Saturday (January 2013)... at the end of the meeting, executive committee member Jerry Maynard, a Metro Nashville councilman, took the unusual step of asking Herron to declare his support of President Barack Obama. Maynard said he had never heard Herron endorse Obama during the election campaign. read more below.... here are pictures for Denver. It's odd the person trying to help the GOP get healthy with more moderates is asked to intervene with internal Democratic parties problems.... The fact is the Good Ole Boy network is BiPartisan..... and they abused me.
NASHVILLE — Former state Sen. Roy Herron became the Tennessee Democratic Party's new chairman Saturday (January 2013), winning a solid majority of executive committee members' votes despite criticism he is too conservative on some issues such as abortion.
The 59-year-old Dresden attorney outpolled Dave Garrison, a Nashville attorney, 39-27. Garrison was backed by the state's two Democratic congressmen along with House and Senate Democratic Caucus leaders and the mayors of Knoxville, Memphis and Nashville, as well as labor unions. (this is "odd" the man that had the endorsement's of 90% of the most powerful democratic elected leaders in the state LOST).
..... Following his election, Herron charged that under Republican rule, "we've gone from common sense to nonsense." He accused the GOP of "trying to destroy the public schools" and said "those things that unite us as Democrats are far more important than those things that divide us."
But his election left some Democrats uneasy.

He's a Old Time Southern Blue Dawg Crony Capitalist and a HYPOCRITE.... Look at Roy Herron's endorsements.
He also has an A rating from the NRA Gun Rights group and Routinely gets 100% marks from the Right to Life groups.... Sounds like a real "Dem" to me?
Read this endorsement he got... I heard he profits from the SAME Good Ole Boy network that Haslam leads....
"....The sharp contrast between campaign styles also favors Herron, a Dresden lawyer, minister and longtime Democratic General Assembly member who has disclosed much about his finances while Fincher, a farmer and gospel singer, has been secretive and unwilling to debate.
Herron has released his income tax returns, which show $232,032 in donations to charitable and religious causes in the past four years. That seems like a lot of money from a former preacher whose a local lawyer... His wife is a Commissioner with the State of Tennessee.... huh? Fincher has flouted the tradition most congressional candidates have followed for decades, offering the public only an incomplete account of his financial life.
On a mandated form, he listed a $250,000 loan from Gates Banking and Trust, where his father is on the board of directors, but no assets to cover it.
He reported income of about $60,000 despite a comfortable lifestyle that includes private schools for his children. In his primary battle, he offered little defense to criticism for receiving millions in federal farm subsidies while running against government spending and promising to "Plow Congress."......
